MICHAEL J. FONTANETTA
Michael is CEO of the Center for Financial Studies. The Center has provided a complete range of consulting services for credit unions throughout the United States and Canada since 1981. Specializing in the development, validation and analysis of custom lending products for over 100 credit union and bank lending programs, the Center has established long term strategic alliances with many of the leading companies in the industry.
Mike is a pioneer in the development and use of credit scoring models. He began his career at the California Credit Union League where he led the origination of the first Western Regional Credit Union School, and taught classes in Credit Union Management at the University of California (Los Angeles) Extension (UCLA) before establishing a successful consulting firm for financial organizations.
He is widely known as an expert in the integration of credit scoring models with core processing loan origination systems. He has over 40 years’ experience in the industry creating successful lending programs for lenders of all asset sizes.
